Sample Rate and Bandwidth

The bandwidth of an analog signal should be limited to no more than ½ of the sampling rate. This calculation is simple and no special tool is needed. However, when dealing with sampling signals that are centered at an intermediate frequency (IF), the calculation of usable bandwidths and sampling rates needed in order to avoid aliasing is more complicated, and can be assisted by these tools.
